Cookie Policy
How we use cookies on totalsoftgaragemanager.co.uk.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They make websites work, help us understand how the site is used, and can be used to remember your preferences.
2. The cookie banner and your choice
On your first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Reject non-essential cookies. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are not set until you accept. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
3. Cookies we use
- Essential cookies — required for the site and any secure areas to work (for example, remembering your cookie choice itself, and supporting our Cloudflare Turnstile security check on the enquiry form). These do not require consent and cannot be disabled through the banner.
- Analytics cookies — set via Google Tag Manager, currently used to run Google Analytics (GA4), so we can understand how visitors use the site and improve it. These only load after you accept them in the cookie banner, and are set to a privacy-conscious “denied by default” state (Google Consent Mode) until you do.
- Advertising cookies — set via Google Tag Manager for Google Ads. We advertise on Google search, and these cookies let us measure whether a visit that started from one of our ads went on to a demo request, a free-trial sign-up or a phone call. If you accept them and then send our demo request or free-trial form, your email address and phone number are also passed to Google so it can match the enquiry to the ad click (Google calls this “enhanced conversions”). They are scrambled (hashed) before they are sent, and Google uses them only to measure our ads, under the Google Ads Data Processing Terms. Like analytics cookies, these only load after you accept them in the cookie banner. We do not currently use your visit to show you our ads on other websites (remarketing).
- Product video — our product tour is hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video plays in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube (Google) may then set cookies or similar storage under its own policies.
- Demo booking calendar — our demo calendar is provided by Cal.com. Nothing loads from Cal.com until you press “Show available times”. When you do, Cal.com may set cookies or similar storage needed to show the calendar and take your booking.
We use both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain until they expire or you delete them).
4. Managing cookies in your browser
In addition to our cookie banner, you can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when a website sets them. If you refuse cookies, some parts of the site (including staying signed in) may not work properly. Find out more about managing cookies in your browser at www.aboutcookies.org.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
