A goods vehicle operator's licence comes with safety inspections every few weeks. Tachographs have to be inspected at least every two years, tail-lifts need LOLER examinations, and every council sets its own taxi testing rules. Miss one and it's your customer's licence at risk — and their work that goes elsewhere.

Intervals that match the rules
PMI counted in weeks (4 to 13), the rest in months, with sensible defaults such as 6 weeks for PMI and 2 years for tachographs.
Reminders before it's due
Email and SMS reminders on the days you choose, plus one follow-up if the inspection hasn't been recorded. After that it shows as overdue.
Remind the right person
Send a vehicle's reminders to the fleet's transport manager instead of the account holder.
Record the inspection
Mark an inspection done on the vehicle, and the next due date is set from the day it was actually carried out.

Put several jobs on one invoice with the customer's own order reference, and send it to Xero or QuickBooks.
